An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

The Waldoboro Police Department reported the following activity from April 5 to April 10.

April 5

Officer Michel Dutil is investigating a report of harassment.

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident on Depot Street at 1:55 p.m. Spencer Critchfield, 25, of Columbia, S.C., was driving a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck that sustained $5,000 in damage. Critchfield reached down for something in the passenger side of the seat and struck a pole due to being distracted. The vehicle was a total loss and the driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, including bleeding in the facial area.

April 6

Dutil investigated a report of harassment. The subject was found and warned on harassment.

April 7

As a result of a bomb threat at Medomak Valley High School, Officer Lance Mitchell summoned two 14-year-old females and one 16-year-old female for terrorizing.

Mitchell investigated an accident on Manktown Road at 10:40 a.m. Corey Prock, 17, of Nobleboro was driving a 2001 Dodge pickup truck that sustained $6,000 in damage. Michael Carter, 18, of Warren was driving a 1987 Jeep pickup truck that sustained $6,000 in damage. Prock crossed the centerline and struck Carter head-on. There were no injuries. As a result of the accident, Prock was charged with operating left of the solid centerline.

April 8

Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report that someone cut the tires on a motor vehicle while it was parked in Waldoboro.

Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated a report from a resident who had a $320 chainsaw stolen from her residence. Mitchell arrested Robert Emery III, 26, of Warren for burglary and theft, and recovered the chainsaw.

April 9

Mitchell is investigating a report that someone slashed the tires on a pickup truck while it was parked in Waldoboro.

April 10

Fuller investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 10:28 a.m. Allison Fisher, 17, of Woolwich was driving a 2005 Toyota four-door sedan that sustained no damage. Patricia Dubord, 63, of Damariscotta was driving a 2003 Dodge van that sustained no damage. James Slayton, 55, of Camden was driving a 2001 Saab four-door sedan that sustained $500 in damage. Dubord and Slayton had stopped in traffic to wait for a vehicle to make a turn. Fisher struck Dubord, causing Dubord to strike Slayton. There were no injuries.

Fuller is investigating a $30.40 gas drive-off complaint from the Big Apple.

Wilson investigated a $20 gas drive-off complaint from the Big Apple. The subject returned and paid for the gas.

Wilson is investigating an identity theft complaint.

Dutil is investigating a harassment complaint.

Dutil arrested Randy Adams, 47, of Jay for operating under the influence.

Fuller summoned Renee Ross, 31, of California for operating without a license.

Fuller summoned Steven Alexander, 19, of Boothbay for speeding 80 mph in 55 mph zone.
