An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Rockland police responded to the following calls from April 8 to April 15.

April 8

Alfred F. Widdecombe, 57, of Rockland was issued a summons for theft of services. Rockland police said the charge was the result of an investigation that was initiated when the Trade Winds Motor Inn reported that Widdecombe had been staying at the hotel and had not been paying his bill as agreed. Widdecombe owes the Trade Winds about $800 in unpaid lodging fees, the police report said.

April 12

Officer William Smith responded to a property damage car crash at Broadway and Pleasant Street. There were no injuries.

Officer Smith responded to a threatening complaint on Broad Street. Michael Carver, 31, of Rockland was arrested for criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.

Officer Smith responded to a drug complaint.

Sgt. Don Finnegan responded to a property damage car crash at Park and Main streets.

Officer Smith responded to a theft at Burger King on Maverick Street.

Deputy Police Chief Wally Tower responded to a juvenile problem at the Rockland Public Library.

Sgt. Anthony Camporiale responded to a property damage car crash on Park Street by the Midcoast Gym. There were no injuries.

Officer Joel Neal responded to a domestic complaint at the Limerock Inn.

Sarah Pascal, 27, of Appleton was arrested for trafficking in hydrocodone (Class B) and stealing drugs (Class C).

April 13

Officer Neal responded to a domestic complaint at the Fieldcrest Apartments on Rankin Street.

Sgt. Finnegan responded to a trespassing complaint on Pine Street.

Sgt. Finnegan responded to a structure fire on Union Street.

Officer Smith responded to a harassment complaint on Lindsey Street.

Officer Smith responded to a harassment complaint at Turning Tide on Route 1.

Sgt. Camporiale responded to a complaint of a missing person.

Officer Joseph Bates responded to an animal welfare complaint on South Main Street.

Officer Neal responded to a theft complaint on Franklin Street.

Sgt. Camporiale responded to a disorderly complaint on Lindsey Street.

Jarod Rackliff, 35, of Rockland was arrested for operating after revocation as a habitual offender.

Frank Maddocks, 38, of Appleton was arrested for violating a condition of release.

Robert Young, 44, of Cushing was arrested for operating after suspension.

Shelia Bicaj, 38, of Rockland was arrested on a warrant for two counts of burglary (Class B) and two counts of theft (Class C).

Shona L. Long, 31, of Owls Head was issued a summons for driving with an expired license.

Megan Hinkel, 28, of Rockland was charged with felony theft. Police said she conducted fraudulent transactions totaling approximately $3,100 from U.S. Cellular while employed there from August 2009 through January 2010. Her court date is scheduled for May 26.

April 14

Officer Jillson responded to a property damage car crash at Pen Bay Acres. There were no injuries.

Officer Jillson responded to a harassment complaint at Stella Maris.

Officer Jillson responded to a theft complaint by the site of the construction work on Old County Road.

Officer Jillson responded to an animal welfare complaint on Park Drive.

Officer Jillson responded to a property damage car crash on Gay Street. There were no injuries.

Officer Andrew Redden responded to a disorderly complaint on Walker Place.

Officer Scott Solorzano responded to a nuisance complaint on Rankin Street.

April 15

Officer Solorzano conducted a vehicle search in the Burger King parking lot.
