Peopleplace Cooperative Preschool invites serious shoppers and families looking for some weekend fun to its first-ever Flea Market & Family Festival on Saturday, May 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Early birds will be able to shop the sale starting at 7:30 a.m. for $5. A spring fundraiser for the school, the event will be held on the school grounds at 69 Union St. in Camden, and will feature a huge multi-family flea market with everything from baby and children’s gear to clothing, furniture and household items. In addition, there will be live music, a 50/50 raffle, face painting and food for everyone to enjoy. The school playground will also be open so children can have fun while their parents shop.

Items may be donated to Peopleplace for the sale, or those things valued at $100 or more may be consigned with half of the proceeds going to the school. For those interested in selling their own items at the event, table space may be purchased for $30.

Contact Jessica Chester at 789-5508 by April 26 for more information about tables and participating in the sale. All proceeds raised from the event will be used for the school’s programming and scholarships. Peopleplace Cooperative Preschool is a nonprofit preschool that serves children from 14 neighboring towns and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. For more information about the Flea Market & Family Festival, contact the Peopleplace office at 236-4225. The rain date is May 2.
