The 11th annual Bob Gagnon Dinner and Auction is scheduled for Friday, April 9 at the Rockland Lodge of Elks on Rankin Street.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Bob Gagnon Fund, which helps provide gasoline certificates for cancer patients who must travel outside of the area for treatments. The Bob Gagnon Fund was instrumental in helping construct a family room to support cancer patients and their families at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

A steamship roast dinner with all the fixings will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 9. A live and silent auction will follow. The live auction will feature auctioneer Bruce Gamage Jr.

Tickets for the dinner are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

The late Bob Gagnon left a legacy of caring and concern for area residents battling cancer. Each year this annual dinner raises funds to continue his dream of helping ease the burden of cancer patients.
