Tom Young is the student of the month for April for the Visual & Performing Arts Department at Camden Hills Regional High School.

Young has been working with clay for the past three years. He has also been involved with welding in the Industrial Arts Department with Mr. Hibbard. He exhibited a piece this spring at Waterfall Arts as part of the Branching Out Series. This year’s theme was Taking Flight. The sculpture combined Young’s ability to weld and throw.

Young has been a great addition to the Clay 2 class and is taking the three-dimensional design class. He is also expanding his knowledge of metals on a smaller scale in the jewelry class with Mrs. Southworth. Young will attend the Savannah College of Art & Design this fall in Georgia.
