The members of Brownie Troop 1160 in Warren participated in a roadside cleanup on March 30, a very wet day in the Midcoast.

The girls and leaders started their trek from Warren Community School on Route 131 and ended up at the Warren Free Public Library on Main Street. The girls collected four garbage bags of litter and various over-sized items. The most common trash items were cigarette butts, plastic bags and wrappers, and disposable drink cups.

Brownie Troop 1160 hopes that people think twice before throwing items out of their vehicles’ windows, as Maine is too beautiful a place to pollute.
