The Penobscot Bay YMCA will present a full schedule of free activities and programs designed to keep children healthy and safe at its annual Healthy Kids Day event Saturday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“This event is all about providing useful information and hands-on tools that parents can use and activities that children will enjoy doing,” said the YMCA’s Youth and Family Services director, Jen Curtis. “With childhood obesity reaching all-time highs, fun activities that encourage children to exercise and healthy snacks that provide good nutrition are more important than ever.
