The Belfast Maskers are in rehearsal for their spring production of “Harvey,” which will preview Thursday, April 29 and open the following night for a two week run. Performances will be Thursdays through Saturdays at 7 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m. in the Belfast Maskers Waterfront Theater, 43 Front St.

The cast features James Clayton as Elwood P. Dowd, Charlotte Herbold as Veta Louise Simmons, Valerie Philbrick as Myrtle Mae Simmons, Erik Perkins as Dr. Lyman Sanderson, Katie Underhill as Nurse Ruth Kelly, Greg Marsanski as Dr. William R. Chumley, Martin Long as Duane Wilson, Dorothy Wilson as Betty Chumley, Christine Cox as Ethel Chauvenet, Douglas Scott as Judge Omar Gaffney, David Woodbury as E.J. Lofgren and Latricia Saucier as Miss Johnson.

Saucier also is stage managing the show, and John Bielenberg is doing set design and construction. The Mary Chase comedy is being directed by Angela Bonacasa, who made her directorial debut with the Maskers in last fall’s “Mousetrap.”

Tickets for the preview are $8. General admission tickets the rest of the run are $15, $10 for teens. Tickets are available at Yo Mamma’s Home; at the theater one hour before performances; and via credit card at 338-9668.
