Elizabeth Imlach Pepper, 88, of Virginia Beach died March 31, 2010, peacefully in her home with her loved ones at her side.

Betty was born in Rockland on March 16, 1922. She was the daughter of the late William Imlach and Elizabeth Baum Imlach.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, John L. Pepper, and her daughter, Diane Elizabeth Pepper.

Betty retired with 25 years of service from Naval Air Station, Oceana, Public Works Department as a budget analyst. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association for over 30 years and was a member of AARP, Virginia Beach Chapter 992.

Betty is survived by her son, William J. Pepper and his wife, Rose L. Pepper, of Norfolk; her granddaughter, Sherri L. Paya; her grandson, Corey B. Pepper of Virginia Beach; and three great-grandchildren, Shelby L. Godfrey, Casey B. Pepper and Morgan E. Pepper.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 3 at 10 a.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with Chaplain Chris Fosback officiating. Interment will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 2 from 6 to 8 p.m.
