Indoor soccer for boys and girls in third through sixth grades will be offered at St. George Elementary School and Thomaston Grammar School the week of March 22.

Georges Valley High School coaches Darryl Townsend and Dave Banda, who guided the Buccaneers to the 2009 state Class C championship, look to develop an indoor youth soccer program.

Children in grades three through six will meet on Wednesday, March 24 at St. George Elementary School. Third and fourth graders will converge 4:30 to 6 p.m. and fifth and sixth graders from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Children in grades three through six will meet on Saturday, March 27 at Thomaston Grammar School. Third and fourth graders will converge 3 to 4:30 p.m. and fifth and sixth graders from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

After 10-15 minutes of stretching, the children will be broken into groups of teams and begin playing 10-minute games, rotating squads after each game.

Volunteers will be needed to assist as coaches or referees.
