Nomination papers are available in town offices in Appleton, Camden, Hope, Lincolnville and Rockport. In all cases, petitions require at least 25 signatures and no more than 100 signatures from registered voters in the applicable town.

Three positions open in Camden

In Camden, voters will elect the following officials when they vote by secret ballot in the state primary election on Tuesday, June 8 at the fire station. Camden Town Meeting will be held Wednesday, June 9 at 7 p.m. at the Camden Opera House.

Camden nomination petitions are due back in the town office by 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 26.

  • Select Board — one three-year position currently held by Anita Brosius-Scott
  • Maine School Administrative District 28 and the Five Town Community School District — one position for a three-year term currently held by Victoria Manzi
  • Camden Personnel Board — one position for a three-year term currently held by Rick Rector

 

Eight seats open in Lincolnville

Lincolnville voters will choose among candidates for the following offices when they vote in the state primary election on Tuesday, June 8. Voting will take place between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the Lincolnville Central School. The Lincolnville Town Meeting will be held Saturday, June 12 at 10 a.m. at the Lincolnville Central School.

Lincolnville petitions are due back in the town office by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 26.

  • Selectman — one position for a three-year term for the seat currently held by Rosendel Gerry
  • Lincolnville Central School Committee — one position for a three-year term for the position currently held by Jodi Hanson
  • Five Town Community School District — one position for a three-year term currently held by Edmund Hartt
  • Five Town Community School District — one position for a two-year term currently held by Michael Kosowsky
  • Budget Committee — three positions for three-year terms currently held by David Barrows, Cecil Dennision and Margaret Miller
  • Budget Committee — one position for a one-year term currently held by Dorothy Lanphear

 

Rockport voters to fill seven positions

Rockport voters will choose among candidates for the following offices when they vote by secret ballot on Tuesday, June 8. Balloting will take place at the Town Office Richardson Room between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The Rockport Town Meeting will be held Wednesday, June 9 at 7 p.m., upstairs at the Rockport Opera House.

In Rockport, petitions are due back in the town office by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 23.

  • Select Board — one position for a three-year term for the seat currently held by Robert Duke
  • Maine School Administrative District 28 and the Five Town Community School District — one position for a three-year term currently held by Geoffrey Parker
  • Library Committee — two positions for three-year terms currently held by Janice Baldwin and Carol Goodridge
  • Budget Committee — three positions for three-year terms currently held by Walter Greenlaw, Laurence Lehmann and Sharon Stone
