Hatchet Cove Farm, a certified organic family farm in Warren, offers 18 weekly deliveries of fresh vegetables to Midcoast residents every summer. The program, called community supported agriculture, is traditionally paid for in the spring by the members.

But this year Hatchet Cove Farm will be able to accept SNAP benefits (food stamps via a debit card from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) as well as installment payments from those who find it a challenge to pay the full cost up front.

For $325, CSA members receive a weekly delivery of farm-fresh organic vegetables including baby salad greens, new potatoes, heirloom tomatoes, broccoli, kale, green beans and much more, depending on the point in the season. Additional add-ons for members include mushrooms, cheese and meats.

Hatchet Cove Farm delivers to Rockland on Sunday mornings (in front of the First Universalist Church on Broadway), as well as other pickup options.
