Special supper and auction

Do you remember what you are doing Friday night, March 12? You are going to the Hope Elementary School for supper and an auction. This event is sponsored by the eighth-grade class. This year’s theme is “Cabin Fever Reliever.” The community is invited to celebrate almost the end of winter with a spectacular spaghetti dinner, complete with fresh green salad, warm bread and beverage and topped off with a homemade brownie sundae. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for dinner and a silent auction. There will also be a live auction. The students will serve as greeters and servers for this fundraiser for their class trip to Boston in June. Live and silent auction items include lobster, firewood (cut, split and delivered), and gift certificates for myriad services from Midcoast businesses, including tennis lessons, ice time at the Midcoast Recreation Center, housecleaning, ski-tuning services, handmade jewelry and fly fishing ties, personal training and much more. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door. Dinner is $7 per person, $5 for children ages 5 to 12 or $20 per family.

Snowmobile meeting

Wonder what a potluck supper will produce? The Hatchet Mt. Sno-Riders snowmobile club will hold its Saturday, March 13, supper at the Hope Town Hall. The potluck supper will be at 6 p.m. with a business meeting to follow. If you have questions, call President Rodney at 763-3353.
