The Islesboro Department of Public Safety reported the following from March 1 to March 7.

March 3
Officer Fred Porter assisted Belfast Police Department with a possible violation of a protection order.

March 5
Porter responded to a residential burglar alarm on Hewes Point Road. It was a false alarm.

Porter received a complaint of a low flying helicopter or plane near Pendleton Point Road at the southern end of Islesboro. It was discovered that it was the U.S. Coast Guard responding to a mayday call on Penobscot Bay between Islesboro and Vinalhaven.

March 6

Porter responded to a complaint of a suspicious truck seen on Pripet Lane and also on Warren Landing Road. It was discovered that two adults and a minor were hunting for shedding deer antlers. No violation was found.

March 7
Porter responded to a residence on Main Road with a complaint of harassment and a verbal altercation at the Ferry Landing. That case is still under investigation.

Porter responded to a residence on Main Road for a 911 disconnect; it was discovered that it was a misdial by the homeowner.
