Literacy Volunteers of Mid-Coast Maine and Nancy Laite of Health Maine Partners will present a workshop titled “Keep ME Well” in the computer lab at McLain School, 28 Lincoln St. in Rockland.

The workshop will explore how to use the keepmewell.org Web site to gauge personal wellness and find the health care services one needs to maintain or improve a healthy lifestyle.

“This offering is really exciting because it will offer concrete tips on how participants can take control of their health on their own terms, in the comfort of their own homes,” said Shannon M. Parker, LVMCM vice president, in a news release. “Such a presentation is essential for the community and our organization as it seeks to combine the basic tenets of networking, technology, community investment and health — all essential parts of healthy citizenship. Because of the generous support from the Betterment Foundation, LVMCM has been able to work closely with health care providers to improve communication and resources to lower literacy adults and the Knox County community.”

LVMCM is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the reading, writing and related literacy skills of adults in Knox County and surrounding areas. For more information or to register, call 594-5154 or e-mail Beth A. Gifford atbgifford@rsu13.org.
