In response to a call on March 3 about the theft of prescription drugs, Waldoboro police arrested two 19-year-olds from Friendship, according to Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde.

Waldoboro police arrested Zachary Overlock, 19, of Friendship and charged him with robbery and stealing drugs. Karrie Prior, 19, of Friendship was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and operating after suspension.

At approximately 2:10 p.m. on March 3, police were called to 99 Hahn Road in Waldoboro. The caller said Overlock entered the residence and allegedly threatened force and then stole some medication.

Overlock and Prior fled 99 Hahn Road in a Ford Taurus operated by Prior heading toward Friendship, according to the Waldoboro Police Department.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Waldoboro Police Department in locating and arresting Overlock and Prior a short time later at two separate residences in Friendship. Subsequent to the arrests, police recovered most of the stolen prescription medication. The recovered drugs have an approximate street value of $900, according to police.

Labombarde said the incident is being investigated as a “drug deal gone bad.”

Overlock and Prior were both arrested and taken to the Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset. The incident is still under investigation, and more charges may be filed in this case, Labombarde said.
