The Noon Music in Lent series at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 33 Chestnut St., will continue Friday, March 12 at noon with a concert by the Somerset Consort. The ensemble features Diana Brookes Brown on flute, Lorna S. Russell on viola da gamba and Carlton T. Russell on organ; Richard Sanner will be guest flutist.

The program will consist of Baroque chamber music by Strungk, Bitti, Paisible and Loeillet, and will be followed by a simple lunch of soup, bread and fruit in the church’s Sunroom.  There is no admission charge, but free-will offerings received will benefit the victims of the Haiti earthquake, through the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund.

The series is envisioned as providing a time apart, a sabbath time, for anyone in the community followed by the opportunity to break bread and share a simple meal. Everyone is welcome, and all areas of the church are accessible through the Wood Street entrance.
