Five Town Communities That Care has announced it will be the beneficiary of the Midcoast Community Chorus Concert to be held Saturday, June 12 at 7 p.m. in the Strom Auditorium of Camden Hills Regional High School, Route 90.

Midcoast Community Chorus is a vibrant and dynamic nonprofit organization inspired by musician Mimi Bornstein, who serves as artistic and executive director. MCC currently presents two concerts a year to support worthy community causes, as well as to raise funds for its own ongoing operational expenses.

In the past year, MCC delighted Midcoast audiences with moving performances including a concert titled We Are One to benefit New Hope For Women, which raised more than $10,000. The most recent concert, January’s Coming Home program, offered a rich mix of music with guest appearances by local musicians.

Five Town Communities That Care’s mission is to promote healthy youth development and prevent problem adolescent behaviors such as substance abuse, suicide, violence, delinquency, school drop-out and teen pregnancy. It also seeks to foster increased collaboration and cooperation in the Midcoast communities, so that we can best serve the needs of our youth and create a safe and healthy environment for all.
