South and MacDougal School P.T.F. will sponsor a fundraiser Saturday, March 13 at the Strand Theatre, 345 Main St. Everyone is invited to enjoy a screening of “The Princess Bride” at 1 p.m.

The 1987 PG-rated film is a classic fairy tale, full of swordplay, magicians, castles, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess and, yes, some kissing. A storybook comes to life in this well-told timeless adventure.

The movie will be shown with a number of selected short subjects, sure to please every viewer. There also will be door prizes including gift certificates from Atlantic Bakery and a free pass for two for other movies at the Strand.

Admission will be by a donation of $6 (more is welcome) per person, to benefit the Rockland South and MacDougal School P.T.F., an organization that provides much needed financial support for students, teachers and classrooms.

Advance tickets may be purchased at either the MacDougal School or South School offices. The full show will run approximately two hours.
