The Medomak Middle School Drama Troupe will present “Seussical Jr” Thursday through Saturday, March 11 through 13, at the school on Manktown Road. Based on the works of Dr. Seuss, “Seussical Jr” has music and book by the Broadway team of Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Aherns. The music has been adapted by Bryan Louiselle.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. and tickets will be $5 at the door the family discounts available. The show is directed by Nancy Durgin with music director Jennifer Goode and tech/set director Libbie Winslow. Julie Sanborn and Paul Berube are doing sounds, and the colorful costumes are handled by Heidi Sawyer, Linda Reed and Dawn Korzenowski. Isabelle Lobely and Ellen Tuttle have done the choreography.

The cast features Ellen Tuttle as the Cat in the Hat, Gavin Felch as Jojo, Kevin Donlin as Horton the elephant, Sofie Sawyer-Johnson as Gertrude, Joseph Lobley as The Mayor of Whoville, Anne-Marie Ricker as Mrs. Mayor, Halie Haskins as Mayzie and Jeannie Trueman as Sour Kangaroo.

A number of students play multiple roles: Destiny Mackenzie as a baby kangaroo and panther; Haley Mank as a bird girl and a Who; Olivia Vanner as a bird girl, a Who, a leopard and a nurse; Taylor Griffin as a Wickersham and a Who; Ashton Harvey as a bird girl, a Who and a nurse; Spencer Weiss as a Wickersham, a Who and a panda; Aaron Smeltzer as a Wickersham, a Who, the Grinch and a squirrel; Tristan Korpinen as a Wickersham, a Who and Yertle the Turtle; Charity Hoch as a Wickersham, a Who and a giraffe; Hannah Thibault as a Wickersham, a Who and Vlad Vladikov; Kaitlyn Hanson as a bird girl, a Who and a zebra; Christina McClure as a Wickersham and a Who; and, playing both bird girls and Whos, Beth Corson, Makayla Harriman, Tekia Cox and Megan Reed.

Serving on the set and stage crew are Nick Reed, Gabe Cooley, Erika Bramhall, Courtney Macdonald, Brandon Amborn, David Tuttle, Garrett Young, Stephen Carleton, Hope Lash, Cierra Miller and Emily Pease.
