A benefit spaghetti supper will be held for Ashley Hawes on Saturday, March 20 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Union Elementary School on Route 17.

Hawes, a junior at Medomak Valley High School, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in December. She has had surgery and is currently staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Portland with her family while she receives radiation and chemotherapy.

Sponsored by the community, the benefit spaghetti supper with casseroles, salad and desserts will help the family with medical expenses. There will be music by the Medomak Steel Drummers, face painting and raffles. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children.

Anyone who would like to volunteer, cook or donate raffle items can contact Rhoda Gamage at 785-4546 or rgamage@tidewater.net.
