An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Rockland police responded to the following calls from Feb. 17 to Feb. 22.

Feb. 17

Officer James Jillson responded to a criminal mischief complaint at Suffolk and Fulton streets.

Officer Andrew Redden responded to an animal problem on Limerock Street.

Officer Redden responded to a theft complaint on Talbot Avenue.

Officer John Bagley responded to a threatening complaint on South Main Street.

Officer Redden responded to a drug complaint on Talbot Avenue.

Officer Joel Neal responded to a domestic complaint on Willow Street.

Boyd Johnson, 43, of Rockland was arrested for domestic assault.

Feb. 18

Officer Lloyd Daniels responded to a domestic complaint on Eliza Steele Drive.

Officer Daniels responded to a criminal mischief complaint on the boardwalk.

Officer Redden, Officer Scott Solorzano and Sgt. Kenneth Smith conducted 15 traffic stops during the evening throughout the city.

Joseph Ronco, 25, of Owls Head was issued a summons for speeding on Route 17.

Feb. 19

Officer William Smith responded to a property damage crash on New County Road. There were no injuries. Michael S. Bidell, 42, of Thomaston pulled out of Maritime Farms and failed to see an oncoming car driven by Beth Troester, 53, of Rockland. Bidell’s 2002 pickup truck struck Troester’s four-door car. Damage to both vehicles totaled $4,900.

Officer Jillson responded to an animal problem on Brewster Street.

Officer Smith responded to a car crash on Camden Street by the car wash. There were no serious injuries. A 1998 pickup truck driven by Walter Wooster, 68, of Rockland was stopped in traffic and a car driven by Raymond Brann, 67, of Friendship failed to stop and struck the rear of the Wooster vehicle. Damage to both vehicles totaled $500.

Officer Smith responded to an animal problem on Eliza Steele Drive.

Officer Redden responded to a disorderly complaint at the Navigator restaurant.

Officer Redden responded to a drug complaint near the intersection of Granite and Talbot streets.

Bryan Ross, 24, of Rockland was arrested for possession of suboxone and violating a condition of release.

Feb. 20

Officer Jillson responded to a property damage crash at Maverick Square by McDonald’s restaurant.

Officer Joseph Bates responded to a theft complaint at Townline.

Officer Bates responded to a theft on Main Street.

Officer Bates responded to a criminal mischief complaint at Cafe Miranda.

Jason Grigor, 26, of Rockland was arrested on a warrant.

Feb. 21

Sgt. Smith responded to an overdose on Broadway.

Officer Bates responded to a disorderly complaint at Rockland District Middle School.

Feb. 22

Officer Joel Neal responded to seven overnight parking violations throughout the city.

Officers Neal and Solorzano made five traffic stops early in the morning.

Gail Boukary, 55, of Rockland was issued a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Christopher Thomas, 52, of Appleton was issued a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Elizabeth Carpenter, 22, of Spruce Head was issued a ticket for speeding on Union Street.
