Kenneth Richardson said he will share his secrets to a long life on his 103rd birthday.

Family and friends celebrated Richardson’s 102nd birthday Feb. 22 at Bartlett Woods where he has lived for the past 10 years.

Richardson grew up in Beverly, Mass., and worked as a civil engineer. He retired in 1972 to Florida.

He then moved to Bartlett Woods in Rockland to be closer to his two daughters. Joyce Houston lives in St. George and Sue Richardson lives in Richmond.

The centenarian joked that he couldn’t tell the secrets to his long life because other people might follow his lead and get into trouble.

“I’ll tell you when I turn 103,” he said.
