The Coastal Christian School Rams have finished their winter athletic seasons and moved onto the playoffs, with the boys basketball team still alive in the single-elimination Maine Association of Christian Education Athletics League postseason, while the volleyball squad has been eliminated from the playoffs.

The volleyball team finished 5-8 overall and tied Wiscasset Christian Academy for fourth in the regular-season standings. In a Feb. 15 playoff game, Wiscasset won the best two-of-three-game match.

The Ram basketball squad finished the regular season 6-6 and qualified for a playoff spot. CCS upset Calvary Christian of Turner, the number one team in the northern division, 46-38 Feb. 18.

Scoring for the CCS Rams were Dustin Burnham with 13 points; Jonah Cronkhite, 10; Jeremiah Dickinson and Mason Vermilion, both nine; Ethan Townsend, four; and Harry Stred, one.

The Rams now move on to the semifinals when they will play Midcoast rival South Christian School on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 4:30 p.m. at Calvary Christian Academy in Turner.
