An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

The Waldoboro Police Department reported the following activity from Feb. 8 to Feb. 15.

Feb. 8

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report that a resident is receiving harassing phone calls. The subject was found and warned on harassment.

Fuller is investigating a report that someone stole money from a resident’s vehicle.

Feb. 9

Officer Michel Dutil investigated a report that a resident is being harassed. The subject was found and warned on harassment.

Dutil investigated an accident on Friendship Road at 1:32 p.m. Laurie Howarth, 58, of Waldoboro was driving a 2008 Toyota four-door sedan that sustained no damage. Alyssa Carey, 18, of Warren was driving a 2001 Pontiac four-door sedan that sustained no damage. Lexi Mank, 18, of Warren was driving a 1996 Honda four-door sedan that sustained $1,500 in damage. Blaire Horton, 28, of Tenants Harbor was driving a 1997 Jeep sport utility vehicle that sustained $1,500 in damage. There were no injuries. The drivers were traveling south on Friendship Road. Howarth turned into a driveway, and the other drivers took measures to avoid a collision. Horton’s Jeep struck Mank’s Honda in the rear fender area.

Officers Sean Kozer and Thomas Bartunek investigated a report from a resident who interrupted a possible burglary in progress. The resident found a male subject in his garage. Nothing appears to be missing.

Feb. 10

Dutil investigated an accident on Goshen Road at 4 p.m. Charles Stone, 38, of Waldoboro was driving a 2000 Chevrolet four-door sedan that sustained $2,000 in damage. Stone was traveling north on Goshen Road. A deer ran in front of Stone’s Chevrolet. Stone took steps to avoid striking the deer and went off the road into a field and collided with rocks. There were no injuries.

Dutil investigated a report that a resident’s neighbor is harassing her. The neighbor was warned on harassment.

Feb. 11

Dutil is investigating a report that a resident is receiving harassing phone calls.

Dutil investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 12:45 p.m. Ronald Brann, 59, of Waldoboro was driving a 1995 GMC pickup truck that sustained no damage. Henry Groth, 77, of Waldoboro was driving a 2003 Pontiac van that sustained $2,500 in damage. There were no injuries. Brann was traveling south on Atlantic Highway, taking a left turn onto West Main Street. Groth was traveling south on Atlantic Highway behind Brann. Groth’s vehicle struck Brann’s pickup.

Dutil is investigating a report of harassment.

Dutil arrested Leo Barter, 38, of Boothbay for operating after suspension.

Feb. 14

Fuller summoned Nicole Holt, 33, of Damariscotta for speeding.

Feb. 15

Fuller arrested Michael Ohara, 29, of Waldoboro on a warrant.

Fuller summoned Kristi Hall, 20, of Waldoboro for operating after suspension.
