With only one loss during the regular season, Mid-Knight Auto heads into the Waldoboro First Baptist Church Men’s Basketball League playoffs in first, while Miles Memorial and Wiscasset tied for second, with Miles earning the higher seed.

The league’s final regular-season records and standings were: Mid-Knight 9-1, Miles Memorial and Wiscasset 8-2, Stonescape 7-3, Starr 6-4, Boothbay Yacht 5-5, Waldoboro First Baptist Church, Mr. Tire and Friendship 3-7, Midcoast Masonary 2-8 and Roadhouse 1-9.

Playoffs began this week, completing preliminary games on Tuesday. No. 6 Boothbay Yacht defeated No. 11 Roadhouse 57-54, No. 7 Waldoboro First Baptist Church topped No. 10 Midcoast Masonary 66-52 and No. 9 Friendship beat No. 8 Mr. Tire 50-31.

Playoff games scheduled for Monday, Feb. 22 include No. 9 Friendship versus No. 1 Mid-Knight Auto and No. 2 Miles Memorial against No. 7 Waldoboro First Baptist Church.

Playoff games scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23 include No. 3 Wiscasset versus No. 6 Boothbay Yacht and No. 4 Stonescape against No. 5 Starr.

The playoffs will continue Monday, March 1, while the championship game between the two surviving teams will be held Monday, March 8.

The following day, Tuesday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m., a banquet will be held for the players.

All games and events are held at the Waldoboro First Baptist Church.
