Nancy Benner of Owls Head is currently displaying her artwork in the first-floor hallway of Lincoln Street Center for Arts and Education, 24 Lincoln St. The body of work on display depicts images the artist received during healing energy work, giving and receiving, and also during meditation/dreams.

“Art has been ‘my saving grace’ throughout my life, always constant assisting me with moving through time with strength in all aspects of my personal growth,” said Benner.

Benner paints in a variety of media including watercolor, pastel and acrylic, capturing her natural response to subjects and nature around her. The symbols displayed in her art range from ancient to contemporary. These images speak as markers in time, offering the viewers a chance to awaken, to be present or simply to observe.
