Local Music Together director and teacher Jess Day will lead a free music and movement workshop Sunday morning, Feb. 28 at Coastal Children’s Museum at Sharp’s Point South, 75 Mechanic St.

The workshop is geared for children from infancy through age 9 and their families. The class will run from 10 to 10:30 a.m.; afterward, the entire class is invited to discover and play in the museum for an hour. Children will practice walking like crabs, then get to hold one from the marine touch tank.

Originally from Montreal, Day offerss classes in Belfast, Camden, Hope, Rockland and Warren. In her classes, families sing, dance and move together in a setting that is fun, relaxed and social, an environment that strengthens family bonds and creates a strong foundation for all other learning.
