The property that housed a Bank of America branch on Main Street in Thomaston has been sold to CSD Properties, LLC of Friendship, according to a deed filed with the town.

Bank of America closed its branch at 189 Main St. in Thomaston in September.

The sale of the property was recorded Jan. 4. The deed states that CSD Properties, LLC is a limited liability company having an address at 284 Martin Point Road in Friendship. A principal in the company is Craig Dahlberg, who could not be reached for comment.

At the time of the bank closure, a Bank of America spokesman said all of the associates from the branch would be placed in other area bank branches.

The building is part of the Stimpson Block dating back to 1874. Bank of America owned the building, the alley next to it and a portion of the parking area behind the downtown business block. The building also formerly housed the Maine School Administrative District 50 offices upstairs on Starr Street.

The building and the land have an assessed value of $753,750, according to town records.
