The Cub Scouts of Den 215 and their families recently worshiped with the congregation of the Federated Church of Thomaston. Scouts participated in the reading of the scriptures, the greeting of arriving parishioners, families and friends from Thomaston, and as ushers passing out the offering plate.

The Federated Church has hosted weekly meetings of Cub Scout Den 215 every Friday, with the annual Pine Tree Derby held one Saturday. The youth group is church sponsored through the Pine Tree Council with Frances Hernandez as the organizational representative. The joy and earnestness of the children and parents sparked spiritual enmity as everyone joined in the worship and fellowship of the service.

Cub Master Aimee Sanfilippo along with the Rev. Jacquelyn Brannen, Hernandez and Carol Moss proudly presented each Cub Scout with the “God and Me” badges.

The Federated Church in Thomaston is located at 8 Hyler St. Services/Sunday school is held at 9 a.m. Parking is in the rear with access to the church from the parking lot through Leach Hall, the front door, or the handicap ramp on the side. Everyone is welcome.
