A strong collection of works is featured in Tidemark Gallery’s current show, “Ralph Bush and Daniel Corey Paint Monhegan.” The two-man show runs through the end of the month at Tidemark, 902 Main St./Route 220.

Corey is a relatively young painter whose style is rooted in the Ashcan School, a realistic art movement of the early 20th century, and honors the impressionists of the Cape Cod School of Art. His traditional training is expressed in non-traditional ways, capturing views and subjects that are uniquely Maine.

Bush is a Copley Master and winner of a boatload of awards for his painting in both watercolor and oil. He has had a life-long love for Monhegan Island.

Tidemark Gallery is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment. For more information, send e-mail to info@tidemarkgallery.com.
