A 33-year-old Warren man remained at a Bangor hospital Feb. 8 after being stabbed Feb. 7 during a fight at his home.

Knox County Sheriff Donna Dennison said Jeremy Socobasin was taken Feb. 7 by ambulance to Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport and then taken by a LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

An EMMC spokeswoman said Socobasin was listed Monday in good condition.

The sheriff’s office received a report on Feb. 7 shortly before 4 a.m. of two men fighting at 394 Beechwood St. in Warren, Dennison said. Deputy Matt Elwell, Sgt. Jacob Boynton and Thomaston Police Officer Michael Blais responded.

Upon arrival, officers found that Socobasin had been stabbed. A second man, Ryan Kelly, 33, was also injured and taken to PBMC by ambulance. Dennison said Kelly did not suffer stab wounds but she did not have any other information on his injuries.

She said the investigation continues. No one has been charged.

The sheriff said alcohol appears to have played a role in the case.

Both Warren and Waldoboro ambulances were at the scene, she said.
