Melyana Grace Bernardo, daughter of Gary and Joyanna Margo Bernardo of Rockport, was born at her home Feb. 2, 2010, at 1:41 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and was 21 inches long. Her maternal grandparents are Steven and Susan Dixson of Rockport. Her paternal grandparents are João and Maria Filomena Bernardo of Toronto, Ontario. She was welcomed by Holly Arends Murphy, CPM of Birch Moon Midwifery, and Donna Broderick, CPM.
