An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

The Waldoboro Police Department reported the following activity from Jan. 25 to Jan. 28.

Jan. 25

Officer Jeffery Fuller arrested Jamie Anderson, 32, of Waldoboro on a warrant.

Jan. 26

Officer Sean Kozer investigated an accident on Friendship Road at 12:36 a.m. Derek Booker, 19, of Waldoboro was driving a 2008 Chevrolet four-door sedan that sustained $2,500 in damage. Booker was traveling north on Friendship Road when he struck a deer. Booker said he saw the deer run from the woods and had little time to react. Booker swerved to avoid the deer but the deer ran into the driver’s side of the vehicle. There were no injuries.

Officer Thomas Bartunek arrested Ryan Schultz, 22, of Waldoboro on a warrant.

Jan. 27

Officer Michel Dutil summoned David Leathers, 24, of Frankfort for an uninspected motor vehicle.

Bartunek arrested Andrew Williams, 19, of Warren for violation of conditional release.

Jan. 28

Sgt. Jamie Wilson arrested Gregory Manahan, 24, of Warren for operating under the influence.

Wilson is investigating a report from Schooner Bay Taxi that when the taxi driver dropped off an individual, that person ran off without paying the fare.
