The window at David Scriven Crowley’s gallery at 409 Main St. is creating a stir. Crowley’s steel sculpture is combined with a Robert Henri quotation, written in 1915 about the first World War, brings to mind questions of wars over the centuries and why we are still embroiled in conflicts to this day.

Michael Komanecki, acting director and chief curator of the Farnsworth Art Museum, called the display is striking. It will remain on view through February.

Winter hours at the gallery vary. Appointments are advised by calling 354-0238.
