Tyler A. Wentworth, 23, died after being struck by a car Feb. 1, 2010.

Born in Rockport on May 10, 1986, he was the son of William Davis and Nancy Wentworth. Tyler was raised in Warren and attended Georges Valley High School.

An outdoorsman at heart, Tyler greatly enjoyed fishing, particularly with his daughter Adriana, whom he affectionately referred to as “Noodle.” For several years he was employed as a sternman. During the winter months he took great joy in going sledding with his daughter.

Tyler’s family remembered him as a consummate helper. They said he was always willing to help whenever the opportunity arose. He especially enjoyed helping his companion’s brother repair his go-carts and dirt bikes. They also said he was always encouraging to others and was great with children.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Nancy Wentworth and her companion Walter Gregory of Rockland; his two daughters, Adriana Lynne Schultz-Luce and Ava Ann Wentworth; his companion and the mother of his children, Ashley Luce, all of Thomaston; as well as his maternal grandmother, Joan Wentworth.

Family and friends are invited to visit for a time of sharing and remembering Friday, Feb. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland.
