Students accepted at Thomas College

WATERVILLE — Patrick Thompson of Union and Patrick Mank of Rockland have been accepted at Thomas College in Waterville. They will start in September 2010. Thompson is the son of Michael and Mary Thompson. He plans to major in computer science. Mank is the son of Gordon Mank Jr. and Samantha Mank. He plans to major in criminal justice. Thomas College, founded in 1894, is a private liberal arts college. Thomas College is the only college in the nation that offers its graduates guaranteed job placement within six months of graduation.

Honors list at Franklin Pierce University

RINDGE, N.H. — Franklin Pierce University announced that Meredith Wiemer of Union was named to the dean’s honors list for the fall semester of the 2009-2010 academic year. Wiemer is a junior majoring in anthropology and women in leadership certificate. Students on the dean’s honors list earned a term grade point average of at least 3.65.

Springfield College

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Springfield College has named Cameron Ayotte of Waldoboro to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2009 term. Ayotte is a second-year student majoring in sports management.

Saint Anselm College

MANCHESTER, N.H. — The Rev. Augustine Kelly, dean of Saint Anselm College, announced that the following students were named to the dean’s list for the first semester of the 2009-2010 academic year: Breana R. Coyle of Rockport, a computer science major in the Class of 2011, and Miranda J. Conary of Warren, a biology major in the Class of 2012.

Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Kelsea Sandefur, Class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned honors for the fall semester. She is the daughter of Peter and Anita Sandefur of Camden. Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational liberal arts college that enrolls approximately 2,400 students. The college grants both the bachelor of arts and the bachelor of science degree, as well as a master’s degree in liberal studies.

St. Lawrence University international study

CANTON, N.Y. — St. Lawrence University students Lauren E. Goss of Rockport, Class of 2011, and Henry J. Ginsberg of Belfast, Class of 2011, participated in the school’s international study program in the spring semester. St. Lawrence University operates programs of study in Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Denmark, England, France, India, Italy, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, Spain and Trinidad and Tobago.
