Camden Public Library once again will host a Songwriters Series this winter. Last winter’s class was a great success with a good-sized group of musicians, terrific songwriting and a chance to perform with fellow musicians. The dates of the four evening sessions are Feb. 11, March 9, April 13 and May 11. The class will culminate in a performance at the Library Coffeehouse on June 3.

Singer/songwriter Mehuman Jonson will lead the class. She said that inspiration is everywhere, in every conversation and experience – good, bad, tragic, joy filled, ugly, or beautiful. Together, the participants will turn it all into that most powerful art form, music. The Songwriter Series offers an opportunity to play for a small audience in an artistic and safe environment.

“Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned artist, I will show you creative techniques to take your songs from good to great. In a safe and supportive group setting we’ll find and develop your unique voice, while exploring beyond the box techniques to stimulate fresh creative juices,” Jonson said.

The cost for the series is $35, $10 for a single session. To registers or form ore information, send e-mail to kgross@librarycamden.org.
