An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Rockland police responded to the following calls from Jan. 20 through Jan. 24.

Jan. 20

Animal Control Officer Jeff McLaughlin responded to an animal problem on Washington Street.

Officer Lloyd Daniels responded to a property damage crash on Chestnut Street. There were no injuries.

Sgt. Russell Thompson responded to a robbery on Dunton Avenue. Three masked young men robbed an elderly woman of a large amount of change.

Sgt. Don Finnegan responded to an animal problem in the area of South End Grocery.

Sgt. Finnegan responded to an animal problem on Trinity Street.

Officer Daniels responded to an animal bite complaint on Franklin Street.

Officer Daniels responded to a property damage crash on Main Street by Dunkin’ Donuts.

Officer Joel Neal responded to a hit-and-run car crash on Main Street by United Home Furniture.

Officer McLaughlin responded to an animal problem at Wal-Mart.

Officer Andrew Redden responded to an intoxication complaint on Limerock Street.

Jan. 21

Officer Daniels responded to the area of Rockland District High School shortly before 8 a.m. for a report of disorderly conduct.

Officer Daniels responded to Wal-Mart’s garden center for an animal complaint.

Sgt. Finnegan responded to a property damage car crash on Broadway by Walker Place. There were no injuries.

Ralph White, 49, of Rockland was arrested on a warrant out of Lincoln County for unpaid fines and fees.

Jan. 22

Officer Jillson responded to a property damage crash at the intersection of Pleasant and Burrows streets. There were no injuries. The driver, James Watson, 56, of Boulder, Colo., was heading east on Pleasant Street in a 2005 sport utility vehicle when a cat ran in front of his vehicle, the driver veered and the vehicle struck a stop sign and went into a ditch. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000.

Officer Redden responded to a property damage crash on Talbot Avenue near Union Street.

Officer Joel Neal responded to a disorderly complaint at the Myrtle Street Tavern.

Officer Neal responded to a criminal mischief complaint on Park Street.

Frank Salo, 43, of Glen Cove was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a license that was expired more than 90 days.

Jan. 23

Officer Scott Solorzano responded to a theft complaint on Myrtle Street.

Officer Jillson responded to a burglary on Rankin Street.

Officer Jillson responded to a theft complaint on Samoset Road.

Officer Jillson responded to a property damage crash on Grove Street.

Officer Jillson responded to a property damage crash on Tolman Road. A 2010 Subaru station wagon driven by Ann S. Yahner, 65, of Rockland was unable to stop on a slippery road and struck the rear of a pickup truck being driven by William Bonzagni, 30, of Rockland that was backing up while sanding the road. There were no injuries. Damage to the truck was estimated at $400 and damage to Yahner’s vehicle was estimated at $6,000.

Sgt. Anthony Camporiale responded to a theft on Park Street.

Frank D. Plummer, 55, of Rockland was arrested for domestic violence assault.

Patrick Bagliore, 25, of Ohio was arrested for operating under the influence.

Jan. 24

Officer Redden responded to a disorderly complaint at the Time Out Pub.

Officer McLaughlin responded to an animal welfare complaint on Pleasant Street.

Officer Daniels responded to a harassment complaint on Pleasant Street.

Sgt. Camporiale responded to a motor vehicle burglary on Union Street.

Sgt. Camporiale responded to a property damage crash on Main Street.
