Candidates have filed papers to be placed on the ballot for three positions to be voted on at the St. George Town Meeting on March 8 and 9.

Regional School Unit 13 board member George Emery’s three-year term is set to expire. Emery is the only candidate to file nomination papers for the position.

Two spots on the Select Board will also be voted on as part of the March town meeting. Both are three-year terms. Former Select Board member Steve Miller and current member Don Lunt, whose term expires in March, have filed papers for the position currently held by Keith Miller.

Linwood Smith has filed papers for the Select Board seat currently held by Lunt.

The warrant for the March 9 meeting is available online on the town’s Web site at stgeorgemaine.com. The town report, which contains the warrant, will be available at the end of February.

Voting in St. George will be held Monday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Tuesday, March 9 meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Fire Station Meeting Room.
