Rockland Congregational Church, 180 Limerock St., will hold a service of installation for recently called Senior Pastor the Rev. Seth D. Jones on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Eau Claire, Wis., in the Congregationalist tradition, Jones studied at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., and graduated in 2008. He joined the Congregational Foundation for Theological Studies, which is now run by former Rockland Congregational Church Pastor the Rev. Betsey Mauro. He was ordained at Colonial Church of Edina, an NACCC church in South Minneapolis on June 15, 2008.

Accompanied by his wife, Kate, and daughter, RJ, Jones started ministry in Rockland on Nov. 29, 2009, after having served as pastor of Mount Republic Chapel of Peace in Cooke City, Mont., for 18 months.

Guests at the service of installation will include Congregationalists at the national and state levels, local clergy, and friends, family, teachers and former parishioners of Rockland Congregational Church’s new pastor. A dinner reception will follow the service.
