The Maine Daylily Society will present the gardens and daylilies of Don Church of Blue Hill Country Garden on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the Camden Public Library.
Church will present his wife Susan’s lovely photos of his hybridizing program. He is also passionate about lilacs, heathers and dwarf conifers. Last year Church was invited to speak and share his program at the Canadian chapter of the American Hemerocallis Society at its Can-Am Classic in Toronto. Gardeners from all over Canada and the United States attend the annual event, which brightens the gray, muddy days of early spring.
All are welcome to the free event. There will be refreshments and a daylily seed giveaway. For more information call 236-4085.
