Frank B. Taplin, 55, of Pemaquid died at his home on the evening of Jan. 25, 2010.
Born in Portland on April 22, 1954, he was the son of Theodore and Mary (Harris) Taplin.
Frank grew up in Pemaquid and attended local schools. He was self-employed as a clam digger for many years, but his real passion was boat motors. He loved working on motors and could get anything working. His friends would bring him bits and pieces, but Frank always managed to get it running.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Joyce Fortier-Taplin of Pemaquid; two daughters, Stacey Taplin and Tanya Taplin; two stepsons, Thomas Walker and Robert Walker; two brothers, Ronald Taplin and Monty Taplin; as well as his extended family and friends.
At his request, there will be no service.
Arrangements are with the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home in Damariscotta. Condolences for the family may be expressed at stronghancock.com.
