Camden Lions are very involved within the Midcoast by placing flags along downtown Camden Main Street during all national holidays; putting up and maintaining the star on Mt. Bettie between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve; assisting Meals-on-Wheels, the local food pantry and Little League; providing eyeglasses for those who have financial difficulty purchasing them; and sorting thousands of eyeglasses yearly and taking them to the Maine Lions Recycling Site, where they are forwarded to third world countries.
