Timothy Edward York, 45, died doing what he loved best Jan. 14, 2010.

He was born July 6, 1964, a son of Clarence and Florence Elliot York.

He was employed at Bath Iron Works, Department 2900, for 22 years and was one of only a few people licensed to transport a transporter anywhere in the country for BIW.

Timmy will be remembered as a man who would do anything for anyone. He was a conscientious person who was known to be a hard worker; he was neat and orderly and wouldn’t leave home until all the work was done. Being so conscientious allowed him to play hard and live life fully. He loved his friends who he enjoyed teasing.

He loved snowmobiling and was a member of the Sno-Crawlers. He enjoyed NASCAR, riding his Harley, fishing, hunting and boating, and had a great time on a moose hunt with his dad.

Mainly, Timmy was a son, husband, father and a friend to all who will miss him deeply.

Timmy’s motto was “Work hard, play hard.”

He was predeceased by his mother, Florence York.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Jackie Williamson York; his son, Steven York of Waldoboro; his daughter, Kasey York of Waldoboro; his father, Clarence York, of Warren; his brother, Russell York and his companion, Jane, of Rockland; his father and mother in law, Doug and Elaine Williamson of Waldoboro; his brothers-in-law, Randy Williamson and his wife, Rachel, of Bremen and Richard Williamson and his wife, Andrea, of Waldoboro; his sister-in-law, Justine Hill of Wiscasset; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; his special friends, Tony and Bobbi Lash of Waldoboro and Mark Blackler of Whitefield; his friend and sidekick, Smokey; and a list of friends that would reach a mile long.
