The Camden Public Library will hold a book sale Saturday, Jan. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 24 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Picker Room at the library.
In these times of tough economic conditions, the library enjoys great generosity from the community in the form of volunteers and donated books for the book sales. All of the library’s book sales are run completely by volunteers, including the two major outdoor sales during Harbor Arts Festival in July and October, and indoor sales in early May and August, and a final sale just before Thanksgiving. Book donations are welcome at the library any time.
“Even in the middle of the winter, when white is all over, you can find a green sale at the Camden Public Library,” said Don White, chairman of the book sale. “We didn’t invent the term, but we’ve been practicing recycling with our book sales for years. We win and you win every time you donate a book or buy one at our book sales.”
