Audubon birding expert Don Reimer will lead a winter birding excursion on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 9 a.m. Participants should meet at Rockland’s Harbor Park behind the Tradewinds Motel. The trip will last two to three hours and will cover Rockland Harbor, the Owls Head area and possibly the Spruce Head peninsula.
There will be stops at various points along the way to scan for wintering waterfowl and seabirds. The free trip is sponsored by Mid-Coast Audubon. For more information call Reimer at 273-3146.
