An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

The Waldoboro Police Department reported the following activity from Dec. 21 to Jan. 5.

Dec. 21

Officer Michel Dutil arrested Deborah Winchenbach, 49, of Waldoboro on a warrant.

Dec. 22

Dutil arrested Kristina Winchenbach, 30, of Waldoboro on a warrant.

Dutil summoned Michael Ohara, 29, of Waldoboro for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Dec. 23

Dutil investigated an accident on Finntown Road at 9:30 a.m. Charles Sodergren, 65, was driving a 2005 Ford pickup truck that sustained $2,500 in damage. There were no injuries. Sodergren was traveling southbound on Finntown Road. He lost control of the vehicle and went off the road. He struck a Central Maine Power guy wire, which caused damage to the vehicle.

Dec. 24

Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated an accident on Orff’s Corner Road at 9:41 p.m. Katie Ventimiglia, 19, of Friendship was driving a 2003 Jeep sport utility vehicle that sustained $10,000 in damage. Ventimiglia was traveling south on Orff’s Corner Road. She was using a cell phone and crossed over into the opposite lane and went down into the northbound ditch. Ventimiglia went over a large rock, went airborne and struck a large tree. She had abrasions and bruises to her leg. A passenger, Nichole Brann, complained of pain in her face.

Dec. 25

Dutil is investigating a report of the theft of an 18-pack of beer from the Big Apple.

Dec. 26

Wilson investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 6:33 p.m. Melissa Sidelinger, 47, of Waldoboro was driving a 2000 Chevrolet SUV that sustained $4,500 in damage. Susan Akers, 48, of Waldoboro was driving a 2003 Volvo station wagon that sustained $7,000 in damage. There were no injuries. Sidelinger was traveling southbound on Atlantic Highway. Sidelinger began to climb the hill and skidded due to road conditions. Sidelinger slid into the opposing lane of traffic. Akers was traveling northbound on Atlantic Highway. Akers went into the breakdown lane trying to avoid Sidelinger. Sidelinger struck Akers’ vehicle in the northbound lane. Akers hit a guardrail and continued to spin down the road until she got to the bottom of the hill.

Dec. 27

Dutil is investigating a report of threatening.

Officer Sean Kozer is investigating a report from a resident who is receiving harassing phone calls.

Dec. 28

Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report from a resident that someone did $700 worth of damage to his tires.

Dec. 29

Bartunek summoned Joseph Waltz, 21, of Waldoboro for attaching false plates.

Dutil investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 11:54 a.m. Stephanie Brown, 17, of North Haven was driving a 2008 Toyota four-door sedan that sustained $1,500 in damage. Nancy Teele, 64, of Milton, Mass., was driving a 2002 Subaru four-door sedan that sustained $100 in damage. Martha Brown, 71, of Waldoboro was the last known driver of a parked 1999 Mercury four-door sedan that sustained $800 in damage. Rebecca Walsh, 35, of Westbrook was the last known driver of a parked 2006 Toyota van that sustained $500 in damage. Brown was traveling north on Atlantic Highway. Brown turned right into the Moody’s Diner parking lot. Brown lost control of the vehicle as she was turning and struck the rear of Teele’s car before colliding with the Mercury and pushing it into the Toyota van. There were no injuries.

Dutil investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 1:39 p.m. Everett Clark, 81, of Searsmont was driving a 1999 Mercury four-door sedan that sustained $1,000 in damage. Jesse Kurr, 49, of Rockland was driving a 2005 Freightliner three-axle tractor with a single-axle semi and two-axle trailer that sustained $500 in damage. There were no injuries. Clark was making a turn out of the I’m Puzzled business driveway onto Atlantic Highway, traveling northbound. Kurr was traveling northbound on Atlantic Highway. Kurr attempted to avoid hitting Clark but they collided.

Dec. 30

Kozer arrested Robert Burgess, 22, of Waldoboro for domestic violence assault and obstructing the report of a crime.

Dutil investigated a report of harassment. The subject was found and a harassment order was issued.

Dutil is investigating a report from a resident that someone stole a propane tank.

Dutil arrested Corey Main, 34, of Waldoboro on a probation violation and summoned him for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

Bartunek is investigating a report that someone smashed a resident’s mailbox.

Dec. 31

Dutil is investigating a report from a resident that someone ripped apart their Christmas lights and stole some of them.

Dutil investigated an accident on Washington Road at 2:55 p.m. Marilyn Stetson, 56, of Waldoboro was driving a 2001 Subaru station wagon that sustained $6,000 in damage. Stetson was traveling southbound on Washington Road. She lost control of the vehicle and went off the road, striking trees and shrubs. Stetson complained of minor pain; no ambulance was called.

Dutil investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 4:13 p.m. Alexandra Chambers, 20, of Rockland was driving a 2005 Hyundai four-door sedan that sustained $2,500 in damage. Chambers was traveling southbound on Atlantic Highway. She slowed due to other traffic and slid off the roadway into a rock embankment. The accident caused damage to the passenger front end. There were no injuries.

Wilson is investigating a report of threatening.

Jan. 1

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident on Winslow’s Mills Road at 6:53 a.m. Richard Guckin, 20, of Gardner was driving a 2003 Mazda four-door sedan that sustained $6,000 in damage. Guckin lost control on a corner due to road conditions. He came to rest after striking a rock embankment, the ditch and a clump of trees.

Dutil is investigating a report of the theft of $20.

Dutil investigated an accident on Bremen Road at 7:01 p.m. Richard Salewski, 51, of Damariscotta was driving a 2005 Jeep SUV that sustained $4,000 in damage. There were no injuries. Salewski was traveling northbound on Bremen Road. He lost control of the vehicle due to road conditions. Salewski went off the road and rolled over into the ditch.

Jan. 3

Wilson arrested Robert Burgess Jr., 22, of Waldoboro for a violation of conditional release
