The Midcoast Green Collaborative has scheduled its fourth annual Midcoast Sustainable Living Expo for April 16-17 in Damariscotta.

The event takes place at the Central Lincoln County YMCA on Business Route 1. Admission is free and open to all. The hours are noon to 6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Previous energy Midcoast Green energy fairs attracted upward of 2,000 people. TheMidcoast Green Collaborative is currently seeking exhibitors and sponsors. Nonprofit groups and businesses are equally welcome.

The Midcoast Green Collaborative hopes to educate people on how to conserve energy while relying on renewable sources of energy. The group also hopes to promote the local economy, including farming, fishing, building trades, transportation and more. The 2010 expo will again feature a café serving local food and drinks, and new this year is a supervised play space for young children.

Exhibits at the expo will include a broad spectrum of energy-related goods and services, from hybrid cars and insulated windows to organic agriculture and environmentally sensitive architecture. Admission to the fair is free.
