An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Maine State Police responded to the following calls from Dec. 22 to Jan. 2.

Dec. 22

Trooper Scott Quintero responded to a report of a burglary and theft on Granite Lane in St. George. The complainant reported items missing from a storage shed. The case remains under investigation.

Dec. 23

Quintero stopped Wayne Thibodeau, 39, on Route 73 in Rockland. Thibodeau was summoned for operating after suspension.

Quintero and Trooper Pat Hood responded to a report of a burglary and theft on Michigan Avenue in St. George. The complainant reported the theft of four quilts. The case is under investigation.

Dec. 28

Hood conducted an escort to retrieve belongings on Middle Road in Warren. The complainant requested an escort due to having bail conditions from an assault.

Hood responded to a 911 hang-up call on Main Street in Warren. An investigation revealed the person had an argument and was upset and dialed 911.

Dec. 29

Hood investigated a criminal mischief complaint on Graylock Road in Warren. The complainant reported damage to a mailbox. Further investigation revealed it was probably hit by a plow truck.

Trooper Jeremiah Wesbrock investigated a theft complaint on Martin Point Road in Friendship. The complainant reported the theft of heating oil from a tank. The investigation continues.

Wesbrock and Sgt. David Tripp responded to a well-being check on Maple Street in Warren. The 30-year-old female was taken to Penobscot Bay Medical Center for an evaluation.

Wesbrock and Deputy Robert Potter and Marine Patrol Officer Michael Young responded to a report of a domestic incident on Log Cabin Drive in Friendship involving a weapon. An investigation revealed it was a verbal argument and no charges were filed.

Dec. 31

Trooper Greg Vrooman responded to a report of a 911 hang-up on Pine Ridge Road in Cushing. Toni Conway, 36, had assaulted a male. Conway was arrested for domestic assault and transported to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

Jan. 1

Hood investigated a harassment complaint in Warren. The complainant reported receiving text messages and inappropriate photos. The investigation is ongoing.

Jan. 2

Hood responded to a report of an unwanted subject on Barnes Lane in Friendship. The complainant wanted a subject removed, but parties were advised it was a civil problem and no charges were filed.
